Hitachi in partnership with NDTV recently organized "Social Innovations for Future- Solutions for India" at The Oberoi, New Delhi on 21st November, 2014. The event was to provide solutions to number of infrastructural issues, and how they can be addressed by using "Social Innovations for Future- Solutions for India" as a platform.
Since masses of people are immigrating to cities every day, it is putting a lot of pressure on the infrastructure currently existing in the cities. Over the years, Hitachi with its cutting edge technologies has been contributing towards the development of societies across the world and providing solutions to combat the issues pertaining to rapid urbanization. So, this event covered how Hitachi as a private player can further support in addressing these challenges utilizing its technologies and key business interest areas by bringing thought leaders on a common platform through panel discussions, focused seminars and exhibits addressing challenges of rapid urbanisation. It delved into the prevailing issues in the areas of Healthcare and Urban Transportation and discussed the solutions that Hitachi as a private player has to offer. Together with the greatest minds in the country in these areas, this was a platform where some of the revolutionary technologies like Proton-beam therapy; Optical Topography etc. was discussed at length as well as their relevance in the Indian society.
